A). Installation of the Life Saver Package:

A.1. OnSky's Gateway
  • Universal Gateway can be positioned near your home router and where AC outlet is available.
  • Plug in power supply (110 VAC).
  • Download "OnSky Smart" app from Apple Store or Google Play Store. Note: do not download the "OnSky Smart" app.

  • Open app, you will see the Login page, then click on the "Quick Guide" circle to register an account with your email address and password (less than 10 characters) and to setup the Gateway.

Login page (#1)

  • Log in the app with your email address and password that you just registered. Make sure you set the app in "Cloud Mode" (at the bottom of the login page, see above).
  • When you see the home page below, your Gateway is now ready to be used! (note: the title of the Gateway at the top and the photo in the background may be different from what you have on your mobile app).

Home page (#2)

  • The next step is to setup user's contact information and phone numbers (up to 3) for OnSky Alert to call in case of emergency.

 

Setup User's Contact Information:

  1. Make sure you are in "Cloud Mode". Go to the Info page (#4) as following: 
  • At Home page (#2), click on the top button with the house icon. It will go to Zone page (#3).
  • At Zone page (#3), click on the Info icon (at the bottom right corner for iOS or top right corner for Android).

    2. Click on "Security Setting" to go to Security & Safety setting page (#5). 
    3. Click on "Subscribe Security Service" to go to Customer Details (#6).

    4. Enter user's full name, home address, email address (of the user or someone in the family who will be take care of the Medical Alert system and mobile app) and the phone number of the user (for example, +14081234567). Note: "User" is the person who will be using the SOS buttons at home.
    5. Click on "Next". This setup is completed! 

Setup Phone Numbers in Case of Emergency:

  1. Go to the Security & Safety setting page (#5). (Note: Make sure you are in "Cloud mode", check the Login page (#1)).
  2. Click on "Phone Numbers" to go to Phone List page.
  3. Click on "Add" sign to add new phone number for OnSky Alert to call at emergency. Fill in Country prefix, Phone number, Language and check all the boxes below. 
  4. Remember to press "ADD" to save the phone number.
  5. You can repeat steps 3 to 4 to add more phone numbers (up to 3 phone numbers).

How to Delete a Phone Number?

  1. For iOS: In the Phone List page (#7), swipe left on the phone number that you want to delete. Then click on the "Delete" button.
  2. For Android: In the Phone List page (#7), touch and hold the number that you want to delete. A pop-up will ask you if you want to delete it, you can press "OK".

 

 

A.2. SOS Buttons

Overview Figure

  • Use a screw driver to open the cover of SOS button by removing the screw (2). Insert the battery (4) provided in the box into the battery compartment to power on the SOS button. 
  • Open "OnSky Smart" App, you will see the Login page (#1), log in with your email address and password to go to Home page (#2).
  • In Home page, Click on the top box with the house icon, it goes to the Zone page (#3). Then click on the "Info" icon to go to the Info page (#4).
  • In the Info page (#4), you can start to pair the SOS button with the Gateway as following:
    1. For iOS app, find "Install Mode", click on "OFF". It will go to the next page, then turn ON the Install Mode (2 Minutes).
    2. For Android app, find "Installation Settings", click on "Status" to turn it ON (with Timeout of 2 minutes).

    • Reset the SOS button: Inside the cover, look for the Reset Button (5) on the board (refer to the Overview Figure at top of this section), Press and Hold the Reset button (5) about 10 seconds until LED indicator from the Red SOS button (1) starts to blink ONCE, then release it.
    • Pairing Completion: Wait for a few seconds, if you see the LED indicator from the Red SOS button (1) blinks TWICE (bright red light), then the SOS button has paired with the Gateway and it is ready to be used. However, if you don't see it blinks twice, then repeat the step above (Reset the SOS button) until you see it blinks twice.

     

    B). Installation of the Peace of Mind Package:

    B.1. OnSky's Gateway

    • Refer to section A.1 above (OnSky's Gateway of the Life Saver package).

       

      B.2. SOS Buttons

      • Refer to Section A.2 above (SOS Buttons of the Life Saver package).

         

          B.3. Indoor HD Camera

          1. App download
          Go to App Store or Play Store to search for “OnSky Smart” app and download.
          2. Register
          Open “OnSky Smart” app => log in with the smart home account and access the universal gateway, if not please follow “Quick Guide” to create an account and associate the universal gateway.
          3. Add Camera
          • Power on the camera and use a network cable to connect the camera to the home router. Please make sure the phone and camera are under the same router.
          • In Zones tab, expanded mode (default), click “Add Zone” to create new zone => Enter zone name and select zone icon, then click “OK“.
          • Long press on camera icon => Choose “Search Camera from LAN”, you can find all the available cameras in the same router with the smartphone.
          • Select on the desired camera => enter the camera password (default camera password is 888888), then click “DONE”.
          If added successfully, the camera can be added via the same way by other users (with different account). Note: cameras that have been added successfully in this account will not be searched again. Please change the camera password after added successfully for your security.
           

          C). Installation of Add-On Devices:

          1). OnSky's Gateway

          • Refer to Section A.1 above (OnSky's Gateway in the Life Saver package).

           

           

          2). SOS Buttons

          • Refer to Section A.2 above (SOS Buttons in Life Saver package). 

             

            3). Indoor HD Camera

            • Refer to Section B.3 above (Indoor HD Camera in Peace of Mind package).

              • 4). Smart Siren

                                                     
                • Plug in any power outlet.
                • Open OnSky Smart App, select “Info” tab and turn OFF Install Mode (if it is already OFF, then leave it as it is).
                • Press and hold Function button (1) about 10s until LED indicator starts to blink, then release and turn ON Install Mode. Smart siren will automatically join the gateway and be ready to use.

                                                              

                5). Smart Light Plug

                                                              
                • Plug in any power outlet.
                • Open OnSky Smart app, select “Info” tab, turn OFF Install Mode (if it is already OFF, then leave it as it is).
                • Press and hold the Function button (1) for about 10s, until the LED starts flashing, then release and turn ON Install Mode. It will automatically join the gateway and be ready to use.

                                                               

                6). Smart Smoke Sensor

                                                                    
                • Red LED
                • Continuous quick flashes: the smoke detector is alarming.
                • 2 quick flashes: the smoke detector successfully connects to the gateway after factory reset.
                • Flashes once every 20mins: the smoke detector disconnects from the gateway.
                • Flashes every 2s: the smoke detector is under warm-up and self-calibration process.

                • Flashes every 5s: auto-calibration has failed.
                • Function button
                • Press the button once to test the smoke detector.
                • Press and hold the button for 10s then release to reset the smoke detector.

                • Insert the battery into the battery compartment (6) to power on the smoke detector.
                • The smoke detector begins warm up for 2mins, the LED will flash every 2s. After 2mins, the smoke detector will emit 2 beeps to indicate the warm up period is completed.
                • Open OnSky Smart App, select “Info” tab and turn OFF Install Mode (if it is already OFF, then leave it as it is).
                • The smoke detector will join the gateway by pressing and holding the Function button (3) about 10s until it emits 2 short beeps then release it and turn ON Install Mode. The red LED (1) will flash to indicate the device is searching the gateway.
                • If the smoke detector successfully joins the gateway, it will emit 2 beeps and the red LED (1) will stop flashing to indicate it is now under normal operation.
                • Under normal operation, if the smoke detector disconnects from the gateway, the LED indicator will flash every 20mins to indicate the situation.
